Staying well. Staying safe.

Many of you will have seen hundreds of articles, blogs and top tips on how to get the best out of these days shut indoors. Tips like; exercise frequently, staying active helps to reduce stress and alleviate anxiety, eat healthily to ensure you're receiving all the vitamins and nutrients you can to keep your body fit and fighting, and of course try not to worry too much about doing nothing. We couldn't agree more with the last tip. Worrying is all sorts of bad for you, your health, your mental health and of course your skin, we do not encourage worry, we encourage relaxing and listening to your body. What does your body need today? Sometimes it needs to move, be active, set itself tasks and complete them. Okay that's Monday sorted, but maybe Tuesday your body is lethargic, you're feeling a bit lost, a bit irritated and your skin feels dull or dry or inflamed or all the above. Maybe on Tuesday you want to stay in your PJs all day, eat your cupboards bare and binge Netflix...

Fear not, this is normal, we know that these are unprecedented times, not knowing what will happen tomorrow and trying to readjust to this 'new normal'. If some days seem more hopeless than others that's okay too, it is knowing how to harness these lazy days and reap the rewards...

Today's Tip: Use your lazy days as 'pamper days'

We understand that it is not possible for everyone to work when they want and relax when they want. We are not suggesting that you should take time out of your workday to pamper yourself. What we are suggesting is in moments when you have a free minute and you can feel tension in, well, every body part, it might be fruitful to turn to your trusty beauty & spa products to help you release some of that tension and bring yourself back into the land of healthy and vibrant skin.

How can we do this? We hear you ask. Well, we have just the thing, or our brand partners do. Our lovely friends over at Espa are working daily to bring new and innovative ways to bring the Spa to you, from online skincare tutorials to yoga sessions, Espa has got you covered. Simply, go to our Instagram or Facebook page to keep up-to-date on what Espa has on offer. Not to forget about Delilah and Jessica who both have wonderful offers on their online shop, to make sure you have everything you need at home to give yourself some TLC.

So where do we come in?

At the Health & Beauty we still want to be providing relaxation and restoration even when our doors are closed. This is why we have decided to start a monthly newsletter which will be emailed to all our lovely subscribers, with updates about offers, new product ranges and competitions. We will also be adding some top tips for all those who need some motivation or direction when it comes to self-care.

We have also started this blog. On each blog post we will be giving some top tips and uploading videos to help provide you all with some much-needed well-being advice.

Today

Today's wellbeing tip comes from Espa, as they bring you a step-by-step at home facial tutorial, so you can learn how to give your skin that much needed TLC even when the Salon is closed.

Step 1.

Choose your favourite Face Treatment Oil or Serum, warm a few drops in the palms of your hands and inhale the aroma.

Step 2.

Press the oil into your skin before working in upward circular movements through jawline, cheeks and forehead.

Step 3.

Gently pinch along the jawline, then repeat this technique along both eyebrows.

Step 4.

Using your ring finger, lightly circle under the eye from outer to inner corner and repeat.

Step 5.

With both middle fingers, criss cross in firm strokes up the centre of the forehead from nose to hairline and repeat.

Step 6.

Massage your forehead using small, circular movements and finish by applying light pressure to each temple to ease tension.

We truly hope this has helped lift your mood and energise your day.

Remember to send any queries or suggestions to via our website or Facebook/Instagram. We would love to hear from you!
